Kardinia Inventory Reporter reports on what hardware and software elements are installed on a network managed by HP OpenView or IBM Tivoli NetView. A network manager can track network assets, determine the expansion capabilites of currently installed hardware, determine the versions and revision levels of firmware and software, and get change history reports. With this information, the network manager can make informed decisions on network equipment upgrades and on software rollouts.
Kardinia Inventory Reporter is a client-server application. Two versions are available, Kardinia Inventory Reporter for HP OpenView, and Kardinia Inventory Reporter for Tivoli NetView.

The server component is installed as processes that run under the control of the NNM process manager and that make use of the NNM databases and APIs.
